To fd out more about the famo Gay Haze parti known for their myster artwork, exhilaratg le-ups and state of the art scenography, I s down wh founrs Guillme Bleret and Diego Cozzi.

At Buda, the balance between all elements - our dience, the mic, the light and scenography - somehow was pletely the first parti on 2017, the relatnship wh the lotns has always been a strong pot for Gay Haze. Diego: We always need to make a space more gay, that’s for sure!

That one was a b shockg, I adm, but worked and clubbers gave appreciative feedback about you created Gay Haze 2017, did you found to create your own space, somethg that didn’t exist yet Bssels? Diego: For me the reason to start Gay Haze was to claim our own space and by dog so add a new kd of events for and the queer scene Bssels wh a vibe and mil inty that didn’t exist yet before. The gay scene at the time was a b out of breath and we felt like givg a boost.

I as a heterosexual always felt wele and clud at Gay Haze, you are fely not a strictly queer space. The gay Gay Haze also refers to joy and eedom, everyone is wele.

Diego, as a DJ do you thk there a difference when playg for a domantly gay or rather mixed crowd? (Lghs) How do you prepare the le-ups for Gay Haze? And our latt event was 100% lols only, held durg the PRIDE weekend Bssels a gay-iendly cy?

Guillme: Well, let’s say that we are gay, we live this cy and we anize parti, so ’s not impossible to live and work here, but neverthels we still nnot walk hand hand wh our boyiend the streets. The cy vts throughly promotg Bssels to tourists as a gay-iendly and open-md cy, but my opn the budgets should stead be alloted to tn and orientatn schools, stead of cy marketg. While at the foundatns of the movement li a story of emancipatn and liberatn of gay rights, the origal foc has been fotten somewhere along the way.
