The lawsu, filed March by the Center for Reproductive Rights, asks the urt to clarify the typ of suatns that nstute a medil emergency unr Texas' abortn laws. </p><p class="">The Supreme Court’s Dobbs cisn June 2022 triggered a ban Texas that outlawed all abortns, except to save the life of a pregnant woman. Prr to that, the state had banned abortns after the tectn of a so-lled fetal heartbeat — around six weeks to the pregnancy.
