There are still many people who wish to ignore the fact that there’s SO much gay subtext to this film and needs to be addrsed. Neil played Puck who’s genr is not intified but is a feme character (I hate stereotypg) but may often be portrayed as gay. When Neil’s dad se him the play, he clearly to the ncln that his son is gay and overtly feme.
This follows up when he tells Neil that he’ll be gog to Bran Milary school, is clear that he wants his son to “toughen up” and “pray the gay away. Now, ’s clear to me 14 years later that this boy who died was gay. Not out, but certaly gay.
