To bee a producer member of Gay Lea Foods, you mt be a shareholr or fay member a w or goat kg operatn licensed to produce k Ontar or Manoba.
Goat producers are eligible for membership if they are shippg to Gay Lea Foods / Hewt’s Dairy. Producer members are required to purchase, or be workg towards, 3 shar for every 1, 000 lr of annual k productn for Gay Lea Foods fisl year October 1 – September 30th. The par value of a producer share is $17 and your return on vtment is prised of patronage earned on k shipments to DFO, DFM (ws) and k shipments to Gay Lea Foods / Hewt’s (goats).
Producers m to the 1% gross k cheque ductn until their mimum requirement of shar per 1, 000 lr of k shipped on an annual basis and paid by DFO, DFM (ws), or Gay Lea Foods / Hewt's (goats) is reached. This is now the mimum number of shar you need to have or be workg towards as a producer member, which is based on your annual k shipments om October 1 – September 30th each year (what DFO or DFM or Hewt's/Gay Lea Foods paid you for); butterfat and ponents are not relevant lculatg this number.
