ABOUT–Gayane Yerkanyan was born Yerevan, Armenia 1989. Gayane holds a Bachelor’s sign om Yerevan’s Amy of the Arts (2009), and a Master’s om the (HKU) Utrecht School of the Arts (2014).
Gayane is based Amsterdam where she liv and works sce 2015. One documentary about the then-29-year-old artist, tled “Gayane, ” was shot 1971 by Yuri Yerznkyan, and seven years later, Ruben Gevyants screened “Blue Wd, Almond’s Aroma” about the artist. In 2006 Levon Grigoryan ma a third documentary about the artist, “I, Gayane om Tiflis.

Paradjanov had troduced many of his iends to Khachaturian, and also thanks to him, Gayane was regnized and appreciated by Marc Chagall, Andrey Tarkovsky, Feri Felli, Tono Guerra, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Lyubimov, Eldar Ryazanov, Françoise Sagan, Yv Sat Lrent, Bella Akhmadula, Otar Iosseliani, Gia Kancelli, Alla Demidova, Yevgeny Primakov and Mikhail Tumanishvili. Like another great Khachaturian, born Tiflis — Aram — Gayane Khachaturian’s roots also go back to the historil Armenian Goghtn provce (now Azerbaijan), the cy of Agulis. Gayane was named honor of her grandmother, whose piety was revered by all of Goghtn.
