You guys will be missed.” Another clubgoer told <em>them.</em> simply: “Attus was our home.”</p><p>Rydyr said that those moments were what ma Attus special, the people who were g out to see “their first drag show or parents brgg their LGBTQ+ kid to the bar for their first show of first time out at a gay bar.” Those firsts also extend to the space self. Attus was the earlit venue the area to normalize “genrfuck” drag, where performers moved as far away om bary genr as possible their prentatn, sometim referrg to their performance-selv as “drag thgs” or “drag monsters.”</p><p>“Over the years you uld fely fd shows at other venu that would feature kgs, club kids, genr bendg, queens, burlque and more on Fridays and Saturdays,” Rydyr said. He add that Attus was the place where non-tradnal drag performance wasn’t an an outlier, but entirely expected.</p><p>In Augt, the club held s fal dance — limed to 100 people, wh masks mandatory. Patrons, many of whom had been spendg their nights at Attus for a or more, me out to say goodbye, and the speakers, dis ball, and even Attus-themed clocks were sold off to the hight bidr. In the absence of that ltle pk-brick buildg, there is no space que like left.</p><p>“Attus was a special space and beme an inic place for so many,” Brigul said her retirement announcement. “Remember
