A generatnal shift away om Montreal’s Gay Village and towards alternative Queer spac wh the cy’s LGBTQ+ muny has been tected. Julie Podmore, an affiliate assistant profsor of geography, planng and environment at Conrdia Universy, has unvered this shift “Far Beyond the Gay Village: LGBTQ Urbanism and Generatn Montréal’s Mile End”.

Conducted 2013, Podmore’s rearch recently appeared a chapter she wrote for the book The Life and Afterlife of Gay Neighborhoods: Renaissance and Rurgence (eded by Alex Bterman and Daniel Baldw Hs).
