617 Brooks Street was the lotn of the Grand Palace, Charlton’s biggt gay bar the 1960s and 1970s. Origally a grocery owned by the Summers fay, Lee Summers opened a gay bar here 1974 and expand to the Grand Palace the late 1970s. The Grand Palace closed 2003 and was molished 2006.
