Sce 1995 the gay tennisplayers ed a uple of urts on Saturday afternoons, and gradually their iative attracted more participants. The ia for a gay and lbian tennisclub was born. In 1996 Tom Bijlmer and Ed van Betuwe found the first gay and lbian tennisclub: Smashg Pk.
In the years to e Smashg Pk grew rapidly to over 400 gay and lbian members.
Once Amsterdam was elected to anize the Gay Gam 1998 the yearly Pksterstennis beme a rehearsal for anizg gay and lbian tennistournaments on a larger sle. In the spir of gay and lbian visibily sports the Pkstertournament rewards a remarkable participant for his or her achievements every year.
