Some 7% of Amerins are lbian, gay or bisexual, acrdg to a Pew Rearch Center survey of 12, 147 U. Some 17% of adults younger than 30 intify as lbian, gay or bisexual, pared wh 8% of those ag 30 to 49, 5% of those 50 to 64 and 2% of those 65 and olr.
More Amerins intify as bisexual than as gay or lbian. Among adults who are lbian, gay or bisexual, 62% intify as bisexual, while 38% are gay or lbian, acrdg to the same 2022 survey. Among Amerins who are lbian, gay or bisexual, the vast majory of women say they are bisexual (79%) while the majory of men say they are gay (57%).
Adults younger than 50 who are lbian, gay or bisexual are far more likely to intify as bisexual (69%) than as gay or lbian (31%).
