While “queer” was origally ed as a rogatory word for people who might intify as Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgenr, Queer, Two-Spir, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQ2SIA+), LGBTQ2SIA+ muni and grassroots movements reclaimed "queer" the late 1980s and early 1990s. As an "umbrella" term for Gay, Lbian, Bisexual, and Transgenr people “Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgenr, Queer, Two-Spir, Intersex, Asexual” (LGBTQ2SIA+) people.
