THAT GAY EPISO: ‘FRASIER’ IS GAY COMEDY BY GAY PEOPLE STARRG STRAIGHT CHARACTERS
Is he secretly gay and he never out of the closet, and I only jt picked up on now? I jt read a thg about how they liberately ma Frasier and Nil to a bunch of stuff that's seen as typilly gay, like we and opera, as a way of stg sha on how dumb stereotyp are.
I mean, s pletely ridiculo, actual gay men have longer romantic volvements wh women than he do, he n't even last one season wh one woman. The show would be so much better if he would jt own up to beg gay stead of ulsly gog after women, he'd also be a more likable character.
Beg a gay viewer 2019, there are optns, honey.
20 STRAIGHT CHARACTERS WE DIDN'T KNOW WERE OPENLY GAY IN REAL LIFE
When I was a young, eply closeted gay the late ’90s, we really jt had two shows: Ellen and Will & Grace, and those two didn’t even overlap on-air. Frasier’s not textually a gay show, but ’s a really gay show–and was pecially gay if you were watchg TV wh your nservative Christian parents Tennsee the mid-’90s.
Sure, that’s partly due to the narrow-md nflatn of “cultured” and “gay, ” which is a thg and fely the South’s whole thg.
I knew Frasier was the gayt of shows before I even knew what gay was. But as “other” as Frasier seemed to me as a middle schooler, there was nothg explicly gay about Frasier.
