D J Wt (Donald Jam Wt), born Liverpool, 1924, died 2020) was a Brish psychiatrist and crimologist, noted for his book Homosexualy, first published 1955.
As a younger socially whdrawn gay man, he found himself attracted to studi of the psychologil problems of sexual and social outsts – his rearch among social viants clus ground-breakg works such as The Habual Prisoner (1963) and The Young Offenr (1967). Donald Wt's bt known work, Homosexualy, wrten well before the crimalisatn of homosexualy, and even before the publitn of the Wolfenn Report, was a classic of s time, and argued for tolerance of homosexuals, whout of urse revealg that s thor was himself gay.
