I've been tryg to dig up as much as I n about jacksonville, and the only thg I n't fd is if 's gay iendly! We don't re much about the night life sce om what I found there seems to be no gay clubs/bars there, but I would like to know if people are at least acceptg (or at the very least not hassle anybody for beg gay).

I know there are better areas NC for gay iendly plac, but my one iend is really phg for Jacksonville.. I live near Jacksonville, and I have not seen any evince at all that gay people exist town.

There are no rabow flags, no equaly bumper stickers, no plac reported to be gay bars, etc.

I n say that the Mar experienced no overt ristance to cln of gays the ary.

But I would not ll that beg "gay-iendly". I don't equent the bars, but I'd suggt beg reful around dnk Mar if you "act gay". I have met a few gay librarians New Bern and Wilmgton, and I know there is more of a gay muny Wilmgton.

In almost 5 years livg Jacksonville, I thk I only met two gay men.

There's really no gay 'scene' Jacksonville.

I live Jacksonville, for the first time my life, and am origally om Eastern NC and was hontly astonished at how open and out the gay muny was for a ary town or really any town.

Ed: so is Jacksonville pro gay? Wasn't too long ago that was illegal to be openly gay the ary, though everyone knew who the homosexuals were and didn't re but the policy was "don't ask, don't tell".
