The most IGNORANT person, my self and my partner have ever enuntered, zero people skills, zero manners, Sheer ignorance, speakg to as if we where dirt on her shoe, the sheer dacy to make aware that was a gay club, when we are both homosexual bee we are very mascule men and to be turned away and told was only regulars only. When we had travelled to the cy for the ne to vis the gay bars and clubs to be ma felt unwele. I had actually thought wrg a letter the lol paper to exprs how tourist and gay people be treated visg a gay club..!!

The Maverick's owner, John McElhatton, is seekg planng permissn to add a rooftop barIt’s one of the most celebrated gay bars Belfast and now The Maverick is reachg for greater heights wh plans for a rooftop John McElhatton has applied for planng permissn om Belfast Cy Council for extensns to the first and send storey of the venue, as well as for a rooftop bar and other alteratns. If planng permissn is obtaed for The Maverick, will mark another tone the area’s more recent stat as a centre for gay nightlife.

The crowd are generally nice and the atmosphere is que lm, the alternative gay bar, unn st, is jt too rough around the edg for non Belfast nativ, all straight girls are legls and screamg by 20:00, so Maverick is a nice alternative.
