Gayer-Anrson had purchased the bronze t om a aler iend Cairo 1934 and lovgly cleaned and rtored himself. On his return to England 1942, he gifted this, and s ntents, to the Egyptian natn as the Gayer-Anrson Mm of Oriental Arts and Crafts and is for this that Kg Faro award him the tle of Pasha.
