A vibrant and openly gay nightlife flourished, cludg the open-all-night Frgo Inn, the Gandydancer, the Shaggy Horse, Numbers and the Retal Circ (which beme Celebri). Today, Davie Village is no longer the only fortable space for the cy’s LGTBQ2+ muny; many have moved on to other parts of the Lower Maland, leadg some observers to predict that the “gaybourhood” will soon be a thg of the past. “There are fewer gay bars than there once were, but they’re certaly full of people on a Saturday night, so clearly ’s fillg some kd of need, ” says Dutton.
