After a difficult and challengg time due to Covid-19 we are ctatic to announce that your iendly Village Angels are back where they belong, out on the streets of Manchter’s Gay Village! We’re a big team of skilled, passnate and mted volunteers and staff who patrol the Gay Village at the weekends.

The Village Angels - the volunteerg programme om LGBT Foundatn based Manchter’s Gay Village - have been honoured wh the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the hight award a voluntary group n receive the UK.

The Village Angels have bee a much-loved fixture of Manchter’s Gay Village sce their tablishment 2011. We started the programme 2011 to support people who may be vulnerable or at-risk on a night out but may not need the emergency Gay Village is so important to Manchter’s LGBT muni, and ’s val that they’re able to enjoy that space and be supported tim when thgs may not go as planned.

Throughout the year, om the height of summer to the pths of wter, the Angels are there to provi val help and support to people the Gay Village who are often dire need. The Village Angels are a group of volunteers who keep nightlife revellers safe Manchter's Gay Village. Set-up by LGBT Foundatn - the chary that supports lbian, gay, bisexual and trans people the UK - the Angels have offered a non-judgmental street service for visors to Canal Street and the surroundg areas of Manchter for six years.
