Born 1954, the msag I received about homosexualy when I was growg up were que straightforward: homosexualy was a crimal act, a mental illns and agast God's will. It was nearly 10 years before I heard anyone say anythg posive about homosexualy. I was lucky enough to arrive at Sydney Universy 1972 a climate of stunt activism that drew on the civil rights, women's liberatn and early gay liberatn movements of the Uned Stat.
