Gay, Geia. Once known as Sasserville the early 1800s, Gay, Geia acquired s current name when the town’s first post office was opened and named honor of William F. Gay.

It all started when Ann Edmonds, a librarian at the Ponce Leon branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library, attend a Servic and Advocy for Gay, Lbian, Bisexual and Transgenr Elrs (SAGE) meetg at the Rh Center where members discsed what to do wh the stuff they had accumulated about LGBTQ Atlanta.
