Our fdgs suggt that gay and lbian workers might be drawn to a different set of occupatns than heterosexual workers and perhaps brg wh them a distct set of skills to the occupatns. Gay and lbian workers probably veloped some of the skills as a rult of social adaptatn to discrimatn. As a rult, gay men and lbians may lose their skill for social perceptivens, which may make them ls distct the labor market.

Occupatnal patterns are ually slow to change bee they ntue to reflect earlier tnal and reer choic and bee the gay- or lbian-iendly reputatn of an occupatn n persist for a long time and ntue to draw gay and lbian workers.
