A gay bla origally refered to a dashg swordsman whose sword was often upright and at the ready. Later was applied to any gallant young morn tim, the change of meang of the word gay and the movie "Zorro: The Gay Bla" ( which the famo swordsman has a homosexual tw brother) have greatly fluenced/changed the meang of the dog show parlance, a gay tail is one that is upright and sometim curvg over the back not unlike an upright sword (though I don't know for sure that the two meangs are related).
