Gee H. Gay Jr., a pilot who drifted the sea as one of the most important naval battl of World War II unfold around him, is ad at age 77. Gay died Friday of a heart attack at Kenntone Hospal.

But Ts Gay said the first time she met her future hband, she had only a vague ia of who he was. “I was roomg wh this iend, Srlet, and she me home one night and she said ‘We’ve got an vatn to go to Gee Gay’s birthday party.’ I said ‘Who’s Gee Gay?’ ‘Oh, you know, he’s the one that’s been the paper,’” she said.
