I didn’t really know what meant to be homosexual and I hadn’t paid attentn to the admissns applitn.
If I had, I would have learned that I would be kicked out if I was gay, and there were certaly no queer staff or faculty allowed. That year a number of stunts were kicked out for beg gay.

Board members told me that gay people were only allowed to work the lndry room or the kchen (away om the children), but that the were posns they only offered lols. Travis and I were both unaware of my sexualy then, but my pure exprsn of good and hard work on the soccer field laid a foundatn that later allowed him to shift his unrstandg of what beg a Christian Scientist was and homosexualy’s place this relign.
