Gay Lea Foods Co-operative on Wednday announced a budget of $140 ln over four years to set up what scrib as an “novative nutrn and nutractil-gra dairy gredients hub Canada.
The dairy procsg operatn that later beme known as Tewater Creamery was tablished the area 1875 and beme part of Gay Lea 1981. The $60 ln expansn pledged for the Tewater plant, to beg early next year, is part of the -op’s first phase s multi-year plan, which Gay Lea said will also clu upgras and expansn at s Toronto-area food manufacturg facili.
