On Augt 20, 1974, fendants Steven Michael Gay and Donald Lee Gerlofs were charged the Uned Stat District Court for the Wtern District of Michigan wh bank robbery, asslt wh a dangero weapon while mtg a bank robbery and takg the life of teller Connie Marie Adams while mtg a bank robbery. 1 After a jot Feral jury trial which menced October 14, 1974, fendant Gay was found guilty on all three unts and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Defendant Gay appealed his Feral nvictn.
Uned Stat v Gay, 522 F. Shortly afterward, fendant Gay pled guilty Feral District Court to the three charg on which he had been nvicted origally and was sentenced to 99 years imprisonment.
