It may seem hard to believe that a polilly progrsive muny such as Evanston has never had a Gay Pri para, but ’s te.

Among the events planned so far for June 26 are a r-only para celebratg gay youth, a muny piic and a ndle lightg and remembrance ceremony. Havg gay pri paras and Jueenth celebratns was never the problem.

GAY PRI PARIS (MARCHE S FIERTéS)

There will be Jueenth and gay pri paras but Inpennce Day, the 4th of July para, and fireworks were nceled. JUNETEENTH AND GAY PRIDE GO ON BUT NOT INDEPENDENCE DAY. As for Gay Pri, there will be a r para, a lightg ceremony, a piic, and more.

My home town of Evanston, Illois is havg a Jueenth Para and a Gay Pri Para, but is ncellg the 4th of July Para & Fireworks.

Mar Mazzetta, a gay rint of Wheelg, went to his first Pri event last year at a party Chatown. He has been to four pri paras sce he first realized he was gay at 16.
