Wh an eye for talent, both eque and human, Gayford spotted a young Eric Lamaze (Beijg 2008 Olympic champn), givg him his very first grand prix mount, Big Deal. All five of Gayford’s dghters ro petively. Gayford was ducted to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame 1968 and Canadian Olympic Halls of Fame 1971.
