David Lawson works to lasso a lf as a part of the team ropg event at the Arizona Gay Roo. The recent Arizona Gay Roo at the Corona Ranch and Roo Grounds higlighted an event and a muny termed to provi a safe space for anyone terted participatg Wtern activi.
The Arizona Gay Roo Associatn started 1984 when Arizona beme the fifth state to host a gay roo. Arizona joed the Internatnal Gay Roo Associatn 1985 along wh California, Colorado and Texas.

Arena Director and Chute Coordator Tim Smh joed the gay roo through the Texas Gay Roo Associatn, after a former partner, who was a nttant and roo announcer, troduced him 1987. Smh peted not only the actual roo events, but the drag aspects and beme Miss Internatnal Gay Roo 1994 as “Miss Tsy. ” Smh believ the togetherns of the gay roo has provid a welg environment and has allowed him to fd the people who accept him.

David Limon has been a wboy for a year and half and peted the gay roo circut for the first time this year both steer and bull ridg. David Limon, 25, participated his first Arizona Gay roo this year, petg the steer and bull ridg events. Not a part of the LGBTQ+ muny, Limon hop to grow and break barriers the gay roo circu.
Limon is not part of the LGBTQ+ muny but believ that uld make his participatn the gay roo even more impactful. “At first was jt for lghs and giggl bee I’m not gay, ” Limon said. “But I started readg more to the history of the gay roo, and ’s an actual leg circu.
