The ia of gay and lbian people existg was no surprise to me, but the fact that I had iated a same-genr romance a vio game—spe knowg that both characters have different genr inti om my own—affected me very differently than did the passive experience of, say, wnsg a gay kiss on TV or film. Most same-sex pairgs are between characters who are explicly gay or bisexual om the start (Kurt Glee) or who are given queer-themed storyl. As a rult, anti-gay Korra fans assumed that Korrasami shippers were lud, while some Korrasami fans were simply psimistic about the ambiguo nature of those fal scen.
