It also at a time when the prence of gay characters on televisn has generated lots of buzz, wh this summer's Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Boy Meets Boy on Bravo.

"The potential here is exponential, " said Stt Seom, a spokman for the Gay & Lbian Alliance Agast Defamatn.
"The channel uld ci to do a block of gay and lbian realy shows. " Last year, MTV and Showtime, both owned by Via, announced plans to llaborate on a gay-themed work.
