director’s acclaimed “The Bter Tears of Petra von Kant.” Fassbr’s 1972 melodrama, which revolved around the erotic obssn of the tular fashn signer for an amb female mol — an fatuatn ma all the more piable by Petra’s abive treatment of her slavishly voted (and probably hopelsly enamored) assistant, Marlene — is said to have been spired by Fassbr’s own life and
