Each year, hundreds of youth om the San Francis Bay Area and beyond e to Hayward’s Gay Prom event bee is a safe place to be themselv and celebrate wh other like-md youth. The film featur terviews wh early prom anizers, atten, and supportive muny members terspersed wh footage om the 2011 gay prom and terviews wh recent prom goers, volunteers, and even a 17-mute documentary vio n be viewed on YouTube. Hayward’s Lambda Gay Prom is celebratg s 20th year Saturday.

The annual event was started by Project En’s Lambda Youth Project to allow lbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual young people and their iends to experience a high school prom a safe environment.
