They had published a poem which scribed homosexual acts rried out on the body of Christ after his ath. R v Lemon; R v Gay News Ltd [1979] 1 All ER 898.

Had he given evince, I have ltle doubt that he would have said, and tly said, that he had no tentn to shock Christian believers but that he published the poem not to offend Christians but to fort practisg homosexuals by enuragg them to feel that there was room for them the Christian relign.
