In 1978, a group of activists created what is now known as the Internatnal Lbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Associatn (ILGA). Their tentn was to create an ternatnal work of people that uld efficiently rpond to homophobic attacks, and to act as an ternatnal platform to llectively mpaign agast the discrimatn, and at tim persecutn, faced by LGBTI people around the world.
