Michael Lluber was middle school when he first enuntered the 1960s mil “The Fantasticks, ” and he immediately thought of Luisa, the young, ialistic girl who falls love wh the boy next door, as a gay boy.

While Lluber had always wanted to do a gay versn of “The Fantasticks, ” he thought would be impossible to get the rights, so he let go. “I told Tom that my way to is when you’re gay and you fall love for the first time, you disver who you are through the person you love, ” Lluber said. This new versn of The Fantasticks featur two young gay men as the ma characters stead of a young woman and man.
