They have queer and trans skate mp, and they do all the really ol, grassroots, muny events and jt have a place for people to go skate — you n be any person, any age, any abily level, and feel wele. So I h her up and I was jt like, hey, I want to do a siar thg New York. And so she helped me out big time.</p><p>I’m super grateful for that… and the very first one was magil. It was really magil a way that I jt hadn’t — like, people me and showed up, and a bunch of people ma new iends, a bunch of people started skatg. And then the after party was — Jeff and Gabe om Uny skateboards [me], so we had an art show. Bands were playg, and was jt like, an tentnal space for queer people, and cis women, and trans women... What do mean to you to be this game?</strong></p><p>I'm speechls. I played Tony Hawk's when I was eight years old. I remember seeg Elissa [Steamer] the game ... I was like, “Oh, there's like, another girl skater the world bis me!” I thought was jt me and her, like fuckg dog , you know? I didn't thk I knew I uld be a pro skater until I saw the game.</p><p>When you're a kid, when you're playg gam — you're lookg for yourself, to some gree. And so I would image what would be like if I was skatg the levels, or some abstract way imagg that I am the skater the game stead of whatever character I was playg? If that mak sense.
