In fact, one famo anti-homosexualy law was created durg the reign of Henry VIII the 1500s, known as the ‘Buggery Act’.
The Act outlawed homosexualy Bra, makg punishable by ath. Fortunately, the last legal executns were 1835, but homosexualy wasn’t crimalised until as recently as 1967 – and this was only partially. 1964: The formatn of the North Wtern Homosexual Law Reform Commtee (NWHLRC).
This group worked to promote legal and social equaly for lbian, gay, and bisexual people.
