There are certaly very few sgle young profsnal typ on the gay Auckland don't exactly have a plethora of datg optns, the cy's sheer populatn allows for many more opportuni.

THE SEX FIL: DO AUCKLAND OR WELLGTON HAVE A BETTER GAY SCENE?

I'd rate the nightlife scene for gay people both Auckland and Wellgton as "acceptable", yet neher cy is really a party town for LGBTs. Wellgton's Cuba Street offers a uple of gay-targeted cktail bars/pubs (S&Ms beg the ual go-to) but any other rtrant or bar on Cuba or surrounds, except for some of the more hedonistic hnts of Courtenay Place, I'd fe as "gay iendly". Auckland has the add bon of K'Road, the red light district — wh s bars, clubs, sex shops and other venu, and more for people of all, the most famo gay bar, is fun a trashy (but good-trashy) way.

GAY NEW ZEALAND

Eher bar, on a quiet night, will leave most LGBT people feelg somewhat disappoted — we're still teeny ty New Zealand, after om nightlife and the general abily to be proudly gay public, there's one more factor of any cy's gay scene that's important to asss. The this is a stereotype that I regret to enforce, gyms have been stmental lnchg much of my gay social life.

They're a very easy place to meet others and, whout the social lubritn of alhol, a healthy way to meet gay people jt like you. Moreover, before you acce me of promotg gyms as where only the f, tanned, gay Adonis-typ ngregate, that's a total myth.

I also like the cy bee 's no pretensn about — the bad weather somehow weeds superficial people I to ever remend somewhere to base yourself if you're a newly-out LGBT person (or foreigner movg to New Zealand), however, I would say Auckland will be a much more succsful breedg ground for a happy gay social life.
