The dairy procsg operatn that later beme known as Tewater Creamery was tablished the area 1875 and beme part of Gay Lea 1981. The $60 ln expansn pledged for the Tewater plant, to beg early next year, is part of the -op’s first phase s multi-year plan, which Gay Lea said will also clu upgras and expansn at s Toronto-area food manufacturg facili.
The first phase, Gay Lea said, also ms $3 ln to build a new rearch and velopment centre of excellence Haton.
